COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT
ATTRACTS PHILADELPHIA EAGLES!
Throughout the school year, TPS students
prepare Monday-evening supper for the residents of My
Brother's House, a homeless shelter on 15th and Kater
Streets. Each week the students, mostly in grades 6 through
8, make and wrap 40 hearty sandwiches. Parent volunteers
bake dessert to complement the sandwiches.
The Philadelphia Eagles have stopped by
to take part in the sandwich making and to accompany the
students to the shelter to deliver the meal. Sandwich-making
Eagles have included Brian Westbrook, Mark Simoneau, Quintin
Mikell, Reno Mahe, and Freddie Mitchell.
