PRIMARY UNIT GRANDPARENTS/SPECIAL GUESTS DAY

Friday morning, October 27th, was Primary Unit Grandparents and Special Guests Day at The Philadelphia School. Melissa Cooper and Alyssa Rickels, co-chairs of the event, planned an exciting morning for our more than 175 guests.

Dozens of parent volunteers made sure that the day's activities went smoothly. After participating in a "whole-group" mathematics lesson presented by head of school Amy Vorenberg, our guests dispersed to the kindergarten, first grade, and second grade classrooms, where they and the children took part in a variety of activities. They also had the opportunity to visit the children's Spanish, physical education, music, and art classrooms.
