Congratulations to the fourth grade, who did an excellent job reading their poetry at the Barnes & Noble on the Penn campus. The fifth grade’s poetry reading at Barnes & Noble will be this coming Monday, May 12th, at 10 a.m. We are asking that each fifth grader be prepared to read two of his/her poems. Please encourage them to practice over the weekend.
We are busy finishing up our math, language arts, science, and theme curricula. In addition, we are continuing our work in preparation for the ERB’s.
JU-A also had the opportunity to participate in a special workshop with a Native American composer. We learned a snake dance and a little bit about the Chickasaw tribe; it was a fun and rewarding workshop.
Fifth grade parents, there will be a move-up meeting on May 14th at 5:30 p.m. for parents of students who will be moving up to the Middle School next fall. The meeting will be held in the Middle School.
