SUPPORTING TPS
It is our continuing goal to encourage widespread
community ownership and investment in The Philadelphia School.
Like other independent schools, TPS relies on philanthropic
support to meet the school's annual operating
expenses, build an endowment, and make capital improvements. Each
year TPS receives generous donations from parents, alumni
and their families, faculty and staff, grandparents, and friends,
as well as foundations and corporations.
Tuition payments will always remain our largest
source of income, but they do not cover the entire cost of
educating a child at TPS. Our families represent a
wide financial spectrum, and all parents are asked to make an annual
gift at a level that is comfortable for them.
Gifts to Annual Giving help to balance the budget
and allow the school to meet our immediate needs. Gifts to
endowment and for capital purposes allow us to meet our long-term
goals and fulfill our dreams.
